WREXHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE - Brynteg retained the NEWFA Bob Williams Challenge Cup with a 2-1 victory over Saltney Ferry at Cefn Druids.
Both sides took a while to acclimatise to the slippery conditions but chances were created at both ends with Ricky Evans coming close to opening the scoring for Brynteg when his free kick struck a post midway through the opening half.

It was Saltney Ferry that took the lead after 35 minutes when a right wing cross was turned into his own net by a Brynteg defender.

The holders of the cup had better luck in the second half and they turned things round courtesy of a Ricky Evans spot kick and a 25 yard strike from Leighton Roberts.

It was the fourth piece of silverware Brynteg have won this season.

The Swan took another big stride towards the Division One title with a 5-1 home win over the Nags Head.

First half goals from Michael Godras, Daniel Jones and Wayne Barlow put them on their way at the break.

Godras and Jones both secured their doubles after the interval, either side of a Owen Williams strike for the Nags Head.

The Goulbourne and the Black Horse shared two goals at Rhosnesni.

Nathan Jones scored the only goal of the first half for the visitors with Rob Tudor doing the same for the hosts in the second.

The Plough won the Division Two Cup Final with a 5-0 win over The Bents at Brymbo.

Johnny Taylor, Max Peate and an own goal gave them an advantage at the break with Wyn Jones and Craig Williams netting in the second half.

In Division Two the Black Horse defeated visitors the New Inn 6-4.

The sides shared six goals at the break but the hosts moved ahead in the second period.

Jonathon Gates grabbed a hat-trick with Dave Lee (2) and Rob Burke adding the others for the home side.
